Will we need to have a face to face meeting in connection with the website design?1

In the majority of cases a meeting isn't required and most of our websites are generally completed with contact via email and telephone only.

We create front end access for you so you are able to view the projects progress and only yourselves and us can view the content until the build is finalised at which point the site will go live to the public.

We will liaise with you regularly during the development process to discuss progress in order that the website design and functionality is exactly as you wish.

Once my website design is completed what aftersales service do you offer?2

We fully support all websites we design and are always available should you encounter any problems or require any enhancements. We offer website maintenance so that your website need never get out of date.

Our packages have inclusive support for the length of the contract. Once this period expires we offer high value maintenance contracts for as long as you might require.

What format should I supply words and photographs ?3

It will be beneficial for you to have your content, copy & images prepared in digital format. if you are able to provide text and photographs in digital format - for example, the files output by a digital camera (usually .jpg) and the words in a plain text document or MS word or similar format. If this is not possible, we can help get your information ready for use on the website.

Will my website design be" Search Engine" friendly?4

Our Packages offer inclusive SEO services and all our websites are created with search engines in mind and the website design is compliant with search engine guidelines.

We re-evaluated your website in time as the search engines do alter their rules and algorithms and you will want to be certain that your website is kept up to date and complies with new rules etc.

How do I update my website?5

Depending on your requirements you will either just contact us with your instructions or we would have set up authoring access for your company to make the updates yourself. There are many different methods which can be used to update websites. We will be glad to advise you which method will best suit your needs.

If you have a small website consisting of just a few pages and will only wish to make changes very infrequently, then usually it is more cost effective simply to ask OTD to carry out these changes for you.

We can provide an on line content management system (CMS) where you can either update individual pages or particular sections of your website. e.g. company news.

Will everyone see my website the same?6

Your website visitors will see some things differently depending on their browser, screen resolution setting and their individual computer settings and toolbars.

We design sites with that in mind and preview them in several browser types and resolution settings before publishing. Obviously as technology alters then eventually all websites may need re-examination.

Can you provide all our web design, graphic design and hosting services?7

Yes - we are your one stop company to provide all your graphic design and web services. No more - not knowing who to call if you have any issues - we can register your domain name - design your website and printed media - provide your web hosting and arrange your email accounts for you.

Do you guarantee that my site will always be available?8

No web hosting service can guarantees 100% uptime. However we can say that our servers have had 100% up time for many years. Should our servers have any problems we do have the necessary backups in place to deal with this issue promptly.

All our servers are genuine Dell hardware. If you are comparing our servers to other providers please be aware that many companies make "homemade" servers using home computer motherboards in fabricated boxes.

All our servers are setup with hardware level RAID mirroring. In the unlikely event of a disk failure this means your server will continue to operate normally.

Can I get e-mail with my website?9

Yes you can have unlimited email accounts and we offer to set these up for you and send you all the account details. You will likely require the set-up of several email addresses e.g. sales @ your-domain.com

When can I update my website content?10

If the website we have designed for you includes a Content Management System then you can access your administration areas from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection and make updates instantly as frequently as you wish.

If we are updating content on your website then it will depend upon the package or maintainace contract you have with us. See our packages page for more detailed information.

What is hosting and why do I need it?12

Your Website needs space on the Internet - a place for your domain name, web page files and graphics to reside. You buy or rent Web space through a hosting company. We provide reliable affordable hosting for businesses and offer inclusive top level hosting services to OTD Package owners.

Hosting fees vary greatly depending on your needs. Your hosting package will need special features if you plan to have a storefront on your Website, if you will be connected to a database, or if you have special programming requirements.

What is your payment policy and what type of payments do you accept?13

We receive 50% of your estimated total as a deposit prior to beginning work. The final payment is due immediately upon completion of the project or sooner if web project is delayed by client..

We accept PayPal payments. Your project will begin once we have received your initial deposit down payment.

How long will it take for my website to be created?14

We pride ourselves on a fast project turnaround and site updates. The timescale of a website design project varies and is usually dictated by the clients requirements. If you have a deadline in mind we always do our very best to meet it for you.

Often the most frequent delays in the creation and completion of a new project is any hold up for content (text & images) to be sent to us by the client.

We are a new company. Can you develop an identitiy for me?15

Out There Design will happily take your comapny identity from conceptual design through to completion.

We provide site design that intergrates into the corporate ID pack for your printed media and your web banners package, this look and feel is also transported to your promotional eCards depending on your contract with us.

Will I be able to have video and music on my new website?16

All the websites OTD create are capable of delivering many multimedia formats, including video and audio plus streaming video directly from one of the video hosts like YouTube.

Can I register a domain name through you?17

Yes you can! Domain registration is an important service we offer. You don't have to purchase other website design or web hosting services from us to use this service - although we hope that you will want to use us for all your web and graphic design services.

Is there any training provided with the Content Management System - CMS?18

The Content Management Systems really are very easy to use and do have explanatory notes included where necessary.

We run through the administration screens with you when we design the site for you - however if at any time you have any questions we are available to run through the procedures or answer any queries you may have.
